Accessorize Your Dock

Shore Station Dock LightYou’ve chosen your dock. You’ve designed the layout. Now it’s time to accessorize. (No, guys, this does not mean picking out the right pair of shoes.) A dock is much more than just a bunch of planks sticking out into the water. It’s a place where you, your family, and your friends spend a lot of time. For many people, their dock gets more use than their living room. This is why you bought a house on the lake, after all.

When you start looking at accessories, you should take into consideration who will be using the dock, how you’ll be using the dock, and how you can make it fit in with your home. ShoreStation has, perhaps, the largest set of accessories for their docks. All of these accessories are constructed with the same quality and materials as their dock, making them a perfect fit.

Dock Bumpers: If you’re doing any boating at all–or if you have friends who drop by in their boats–you’ll want dock bumpers. They protect your boat, and your dock, and allow you to tie up easily and securely.

Aqua Steps: Getting in and out of the water can be difficult sometimes. Aqua steps make it easy. With sturdy aluminum steps and railings, they make it easy and safe for you to get in and out. The adjustable parallelogram design means that they’re always the right height to fit your dock.

Cedar Bench: No dock is complete without a place to sit back and relax. Almost every manufacturer has a bench in their list of accessories. Usually, they’re made of cedar. This gives you an attractive, weather-resistant bench where you can sit and just enjoy the lake or rest up after a hard day playing. If you have room in your layout, you might want a couple of them so you can turn your dock into an outdoor living room.

Swivel Chair: The fisherman’s favorite. ShoreStation has a great cedar swivel chair that’s just perfect for the dockside fisherman.

Dock Lights: Don’t want the fun to stop when the sun goes down? That’s not a problem at all. Add some lights to your dock. ShoreStation’s Dock Lights have a big, 24″ cover that protects the bulb from the elements and reflects the light for a gentle, indirect glow.

Gear Tower: If you’re using your dock for more than just a way to get to your boat, you’re going to want somewhere to keep your stuff–towels, drinks, toys, sun screen. A gear tower is the perfect way to do it. With ShoreStation’s gear tower, you can even add a dock light to it so you’re able to find your stuff even late at night.

No matter how you design your dock, or how you choose to accessorize it, Manke Enterprises is here to help. We’ll work with you to create a dock that you’ll be able to enjoy for years.
