ShoreStation has posted a service bulletin regarding their hydraulic lifts, and 2 maintenance issues.
Because of the recent flooding, it’s possible that your hydraulic oil may be contaminated with water. If it has been, you should not use it. Contaminated oil can cause damage to your hydraulic system. It’s simple to check for contamination. Open the tank and look at the oil. It should be clear. If it’s white or milky, it’s contaminated. Give us a call, and we’ll replace the oil with new, environmentally-friendly oil. We’ll also properly dispose of the old oil, so you don’t have to worry about it.
The second maintenance issue also has to do with the hydraulic oil. Just like your boat, your hydraulic lift needs regular oil changes. If you’ve had your lift for 4 or more years, it may be time for an oil change. If your oil has a yellow or dark color to it, it’s old and should be changed. Give us a call, and we can change the oil, replace it with new, and properly dispose of the old.
